TPO Flat Roof Installation
TPO flat roof installation begins by either cleaning or removing the existing roofing material. Once this step is complete, our technicians will install a layer of rigid insulation across it.
This insulation serves two purposes. First, it helps to regulate your building’s interior temperature year-round. Second, it guards the TPO membrane from potential damage underneath.
TPO is manufactured in sheets that are between 10 and 20 feet wide. Our crew will trim and fit the material to match the dimensions of your roof. We will attach it using either an industrial adhesive or mechanical fasteners, taking care to ensure a watertight bond at all points. The final step is to heat-weld the overlapping TPO layers together. We achieve this by using a roller and a commercial-grade forced-air device.
Once this step is complete, we will perform a rigorous inspection to ensure your new roof is ready to go the distance. You’ll also have the opportunity to inspect it yourself.
Once in place, TPO roofing typically requires minimal maintenance. It’s a good idea to clean it on a periodic basis using a long-handle soft bristle brush, a mild detergent solution, and a source of low-pressure water such as a garden hose (not a pressure washer).
